God's grace is amzing and His grace is sufficient! When I think there is no hope, when I feel the most desperate and weak; God bless me with His love. He gives me strength, courage and hope. And He answers my prayers when I least expect them. God guides me and protects me with His unfathomable wisdom and immeasurable love! It is said that our hope lies in God who is working in our circumstances. Setting our hope on God's grace at work in and through us is our greatest source of comfort. This is our greatest source of hope for those around us who are undergoing trials and tribulations.

Brauchst du Ermutigung? Hast du heute bei all den schlechten Nachrichten, die auf dich einstürmen, eine kleine Aufmunterung nötig? Der Psalmist David kann dir mit ein paar Worten, die wir sonst eher als negativ betrachten, ganz unverhofft Mut machen.
In Psalm 19 finden wir eine kurze Aufzählung, wie die klar definierten „Gebote“ oder Lebensregeln, die Gott uns gegeben hat, positive Ergebnisse bringen können. Das ist überraschend, denn viele meinen, Gottes Regeln wollten uns einschränken und die Freude am Leben nehmen.
Hier ein paar Worte, die der Psalmist gebraucht, um Gottes Gebote zu beschreiben: „Das Gesetz des Herrn“ (V.8), „Zeugnis“ (V.8), „Befehle“ (V.9), „Gebote“ (V.9), „Furcht des Herrn“ (V.10) und „Rechte“ (V.10). Die Worte wirken irgendwie bedrohlich, deshalb versuchen viele Menschen, sie zu vermeiden, oder lehnen sie ab.
Aber achten wir einmal darauf, was diese Dinge dem glaubenden, gehorsamen Herzen bringen: Sie erquicken die Seele, sie machen weise, erfreuen das Herz, sind lauter, erleuchten die Augen, sie sind von Dauer, wahr und gerecht (V.8-10). Wenn das nicht ermutigend ist! Kein Wunder, dass David über die Gebote, die Gott uns gegeben hat, sagen konnte: „Sie sind köstlicher als Gold … sie sind süßer als Honig“ (V.11). Der Gehorsam gegenüber Gottes Wort ist die größte Freiheit des Christen.
English Version: Are you looking for encouragement? Do you need a little boost today amid all the bad news coming your way? The psalmist David can lift your spirit in an unexpected way through some words we often think of as negative.
When we read Psalm 19, we discover a short listing of ways that the Lord’s clearly defined “law,” or standards for living, can bring positive results. This is unlikely encouragement, for some see God’s standards as restrictive and as robbing us of happiness.
Here are some words the psalmist used for God’s standards: “law of the Lord” (v.7), “testimony” (v.7), “statutes” (v.8), “commandments” (v.8), “fear of the Lord” (v.9), and “judgments” (v.9). These words have an ominous sound that causes many people to want to avoid or reject them.
But notice what these things bring to the believing, obedient heart: conversion of the soul, wisdom, rejoicing of the heart, purity of life, enlightenment of the eyes, endurance, truth, and righteousness (vv.7-9). That’s great encouragement! No wonder David said about God’s law that He’s given to us, “More to be desired are they than gold . . . sweeter also than honey” (v.10).
